Philips launches its Fidelio B8 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos® to deliver a truly immersive experience. Where standard soundbars give you a surround sound experience in two dimensions, Fidelio B8 ensures you hear helicopters really flying over your head. When it rains in the film, it will sound like it’s raining in your living room. And all this sound comes from a sleek soundbar measuring 53mm in height.

The Fidelio B8 Soundbar lets you experience sound like you’ve never heard before. It is a single soundbar capable of immersing home viewers inside the action with incredible clarity, richness and detail. Featuring Dolby Atmos integration, you get the ultimate cinema sound experience where audio moves and flows around you. You'll feel like you're inside the action as the sounds of people, music, and things come alive with breathtaking realism and move all around you in three-dimensional space. By combining Philips’ proprietary Ambisound technology, the B8 Soundbar delivers full 5.1.2 surround sound from forward firing speakers.

18 speakers delivering true cinema performance
The Fidelio B8 Soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos includes a network of 18 speakers. Our patented speaker array features up firing modules, two racetrack drivers, and three tweeters positioned at the top of the Fidelio B8. This ensures sound is sent towards the ceiling where it bounces off to ensure a 3D cinematic experience from an overhead layer of sound above the listener. On either side are 3 mid-range drivers, with one driver on each side dedicated to delivering optimum voice clarity. This ensures you will never miss a word from any dialogue. In addition, two precisely angled tweeters create an enlarged cinematic stage far wider than its own length.

At the low frequencies, a 220W wireless subwoofer features an 8” downward firing driver that delivers powerful and deep bass. Because it uses a dome-shaped bass reflector there is little to no sound damping. It also enhances lower frequencies by radiating them evenly outwards in a 360-degree arc, allowing placement of the subwoofer anywhere in the room. That way you can fill every corner of the room with bass.

Ambisound Technology
Ambisound is Philips’ patented technology that places drivers and tweeters at such an angle that sound from soundbars and soundstages goes far wider than the sheer width of the soundbar. This combination of speakers and bass system working in tandem with the Philips proprietary sound processing algorithms, produces sound far larger and wider than soundbars without Ambisound. Yet this technology does not come at the expense of size or style. At just 53mm thin, the Fidelio B8 is slender enough to be placed easily beneath a TV and features a refined, modern aesthetic that will meld naturally into any home.
