Philips energises portable entertainment with new Power4Life range

Berlin, Germany – Philips presents a new range of power solutions at the IFA 2007 in Berlin designed to remove battery life limitations and give maximum extended enjoyment from portable electronic devices. The Philips Power4Life range offers versatility and portability and will be available in Europe from December 2007. The so called Power2Charge universal USB chargers offer one single charger to power all portable electronic devices. Power2Go chargers provide up to 60 hours of portable power when on the go, without the need of a power outlet.

Power2Charge

Portable electronic devices like mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players and PDAs each require their own power adapter. Power2Charge is a universal adapter solution that charges all your portable electronic devices and that removes the need to carry several chargers at once. The range offers three universal USB chargers and two universal USB car chargers to give maximum convenience while at the office, at home or on-the-move.

The flagship universal USB charger in the Philips Power2Charge range, is the SCM7880. It caters for applications up to 5V, features a backup energy solution for up to 15 hours of portable power, an LED indicator and a space friendly foldable plug. The Philips SCM7880 has six connector tips and comes complete with a retractable USB cable and a handy travel bag.

Power2Go

The Philips Power2Go range offers up to 60 hours of back-up power from a single charge, allowing portable electronic devices to be powered-up from anywhere in the world without the need of a power outlet. Ranging from a top-of-the line rechargeable power pack, to an emergency phone charger, the Power2Go range provides an outstanding back-up energy source for all your portable electronic devices.

Top-of- the-line in the Philips Power2Go range, is the SCE7640. This is the most sophisticated Power2Go solution, providing back up energy for applications up to 20V. It is even compatible with lap tops and complete with a LED indicator. The tiny SCE2110 caters for consumers who don't need portable power for anything other than their mobile phones. With 5 connector tips and an LED indicator, the SCE2110 will making sure the user can always stay in touch.
