Berlin, Germany – To enjoy your music wherever you are, Philips has released the first Fidelio Portable Speakers P8 and P9. This new range offers high fidelity sound that stays true to the original recording and, built with real wood and metal, offers an elegant design that makes it perfect for home and travel. You can now say goodbye to tinny music from your smartphone or tablet.

The Fidelio Portable Speaker range merges high-quality sound with superior style. The P8 packs a full range of woofer drivers and wOOx technology, delivering clear sound and surprisingly deep base that brings your music collection to life. The P9 has a built-in cross over filter so only the low and mid tones are rendered by the woofers and the high frequencies are rendered by the soft dome tweeters. The end effect is a wide and natural sound that remains clear and distortion-free, no matter how loud you want to play your music.

The Philips Fidelio Portable Speaker works with Bluetooth, so it is easy to wirelessly stream your music from any Bluetooth-enabled device. To make sure it is universally connectable, an audio-in makes connecting any device simple and the Li-ion battery ensures that no matter where you go you can play your music loudly and proudly for up to eight hours. You can also charge your smartphone with the built-in USB port.

Sleekly designed with premium materials, including leather, metal and wood, the P9 is available in three pure and authentic finishes. It features a premium leather cover which protects the speaker when you’re on the move and will automatically turn off the player when the cover is closed. To ensure you get the best acoustics, you can use the leather cover on the P9 to create a tilted listening position for the best sound no matter where it sits. Both the P8 and the P9 feature a touch sensor which activates to show how much battery is remaining. To protect the P8 when traveling a protective pouch is included.
