Berlin, Germany – Philips has introduced a range of stylish premium cordless phones with MobileLink technology, perfect for those with a smartphone. With the introduction of the new S9 and S10 models you can now seamlessly integrate your home phone with your smartphone, opening up a host of opportunities to make taking calls at home simple.

MobileLink – a home phone for those with a smartphone
Whilst mobile phones are perfect if you are out and about, when you are at home it is not always so easy to make a call from your mobile. Problems such as poor signal, low battery life, address book integration and missing calls on your mobile because you cannot locate it in time, can make using your mobile phone at home troublesome.

To resolve all these problems MobileLink automatically connects up to two smartphones to the S9 and S10 models via a Bluetooth antenna located in each base unit. This means when a call comes in on your smartphone, it will ring on both your smartphone and your home phone, giving you the choice to answer the call on either device. If you chose to answer using the home phone you can freely move anywhere in the home without the worry of losing reception thanks to a strong and stable DECT connection that will reach into areas of weak or no signal and has an indoor range of 50 meters.

If you have low battery on your smartphone you can charge it next to the base unit whilst taking all your mobile calls via the landline. Similarly if you wish to make outgoing calls using MobileLink you can do so from your home phone. This is ideal for when you have unused minutes or free calls on your contract that you want to use and gives you greater clarity, freedom to move around and less signal interference. And because it can act as a link for your mobile phone in the home, the S9 and S10 can even deliver the benefits of a home phone without the need for a landline.

Integration of your smartphone contacts to your home phone via Bluetooth is easy. Up to 500 contacts can be quickly transferred at once. If your home line is shared and you do not want everyone to have access to all your contacts you can simply add a lock to them. Alternatively you can opt for them to only appear when you are at home, so when you and your smartphone leave the house; your contacts leave the phone and reappear as soon as you return.

Design – exquisite finish with a sleek design
The new S10 touchscreen cordless phone and the sleek S9 premium cordless phone have been designed with a lustrous and modern look that sits elegantly in any contemporary home. Crafted by French, German and Italian designers, using high quality materials such as aluminum, they were inspired by high-end designs. The S10 even includes a large capacitive touchscreen display that makes use of the vibrant screen by allowing you to see who is calling with caller photos.

HQ Sound with MySound Pro
For excellent clarity, Philips has included HQ-Sound which is a combination of high quality acoustic engineering and integrated digital sound processing technology. This reduces noise and echo to make you feel closer to the person you are talking to.

As no one sound fits everyone, Philips’ patented MySound Pro allows you to choose the sound profile that suits you best. For ease of use five pre-set preferences – balanced, powerful, bright, clear and warm – are included on a split screen so you can pick the best sound that suits you.

To make sure your home phone stays safe and free from unwanted callers you can suppress all anonymous calls and specific numbers. Whilst if you want peace and quiet during certain periods in the day you can simply disable the ringtone at specific times so you will not be disturbed.
